2 containers Crazy Fresh Green Bean Meal Mates
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour, divided
1/2 teaspoon cumin
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 cups beer
Vegetable oil for frying
Directions
- Toss the green beans with 1/2 cup of flour until well coated.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the remaining 2 cups of flour with cumin, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, pepper and salt. Slowly add the beer, stirring until it creates a thick batter.
- Heat 1-2 inches of vegetable oil in a large pot to 375º.
- Dip the green beans into the batter, then very carefully drop into the hot oil. It may be best to do this with tongs.
- Fry the green beans in small batches for 2-3 minutes until golden brown. Very carefully remove them from the hot oil, and drain on paper towels.
- Serve the green beans warm with your favorite dipping sauce. We suggest wasabi or chipotle mayo.
- Our Meal Mate comes with green beans, mushrooms and onions. Feel free to follow the above steps with the mushrooms and onions!
