Everyone loves pizza. How could you not? It’s got a chewy dough, tasty sauce, crispy cheese and you can customize it literally anyway you’d like. The best part about pizza – it’s super easy to make, and kids love it! That’s why we came up with these Super Simple Mini Pizzas. You can’t get any easier (well, besides throwing a frozen pizza in the oven, but let’s be real, fresh is always better).
We made sure this recipe was easy enough that even the littlest of hands could help making it. It’s the perfect recipe for those wanting to get their kids involved in the kitchen. And the size of each pizza is also great for those little eaters!
Step 1: Gather your ingredients.
Gather up all your ingredients to make your pizzas. We used cans of refrigerated biscuits. We actually chose the ones with cheese throughout to give the mini pizzas even more yummy flavor. Next, we have our mozzarella cheese, pepperonis and pizza sauce. You can also be creative and use Alfredo sauce, or a blend of cheeses. Maybe even throw some sausages on there! Next step, head to your local Crazy Fresh retailer, and pick up a container of diced Stoplight Peppers. This is a mix of green, yellow and red bell peppers already pre-diced, saving you major time in the kitchen. We also offer diced white onions if your kids like a little extra kick. Basically, just gather all your favorite pizza toppings and get creative!
Step 2: Get to Topping
First, open up your can of biscuits. Have your little ones lay them out on a cookie sheet, and help them spoon pizza sauce over each one. We suggest only a spoonful, as you don’t want the dough to get too soggy while it bakes. But you know that – this isn’t your first pizza-making rodeo! 😉
Top your pizzas with your favorite toppings. Get creative with your combinations! This is where you can even “hide” some ingredients from your picky eaters (we bet they won’t even notice)!
Step 3: Pop Them In the Oven
Pop your mini pizzas into the oven at 350º for roughly 16 minutes or until the cheese is a bit crispy. Let them cool a couple of minutes before devouring. We hope you and your little ones enjoy!
