Pineapple is one of our absolute favorite fruits, especially in the summer. It’s just so refreshing! We like it even more when it’s freshly-cut. We can’t think of anything worse than having to pick out a ripe pineapple, bring it home, and figure out to cut it without making a mess. That’s why we offer many different fresh-cut pineapple options: pineapple chunks, pineapple spears, pineapple rings, and cored pineapple. The cored pineapple or pineapple rings are perfect for our pineapple pops!
Pineapple pops are exactly what they sound like – “popsicles” made from fresh fruit! They’re super delicious during the hot summer months. And they’re super easy to make! Your little ones can do it all on their own!
1. Prepare your ingredients
We like a variety of toppings for our pops. You can choose whatever you’d like, but these are what we used:
- Cored Pineapple or Pineapple Rings
- Chocolate Chips
- Coconut Flakes
- Coconut Yogurt
And don’t forget the popsicle sticks!
2. Melt your chocolate chips
Melt your chocolate chips in the microwave, 30 seconds at a time, stirring in-between until melted.
3. Dip your pineapple rings.
You can decide how much or how little topping you’d like on your pineapple rings. We like just a little bit of chocolate, but lots of coconut. You can also mix and match your toppings. Anyone feeling chocolate with coconut flakes? Yum!
4. Put in popsicle stick, and freeze.
Place a popsicle stick in the bottom of your pineapple rings, then place on a parchment paper covered baking sheet. Place your pops in the freezer for a couple of hours, and you’re good to go! Now your kids have a super yummy dessert or healthy snack to munch on this summer!
